Monday - Feb. 20th - Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville with dinner served from 6 until 6:45 in the church fellowship hall located on Buncombe Street. The program starts immediately after. for info call 692-8380.
Wednesday - Feb. 22nd - The Henderson County Republican Men's Club will meet with a social time from 7:30 til 8 am at Opportunity House. Guest will be Dakota Fritz, the Pearl Harbor Essay Winner talking about his Pearl Harbor Visit, followed by Henderson County Chairman Tommy Thompson with an update on the County. Wednesday - Feb.22nd - Ash Wednesday services at Grace Lutheran Church. Worship services will be held at 12:15 pm and 7 pm with Holy Communion served at both.
Thursday - Feb. 23rd - A conference for women entitled "Embrace the Fabulous You" will be held from 9 am til 3 pm at the Lelia Patterson Center, sponsored by Park Ridge Hospital. Thursday - Feb. 23rd - The musical "Chicago" will be held at 7:30 pm at the Asheville Community Theatre located at 35 East Walnut Street in Asheville. It is a benefit musical for Four Seasons Hospice.
Friday - Feb. 24th - There will be a silent art auction at 700 Ray Avenue, Suite A from 5 until 7 pm. Entry fee is $1.00 or a donation for the supply closet. proceeds go to "Only Hope WNC" -- offering help to homeless youth...Live music by local youth -- youth art also donated. for more info call 828-693-5499.
Saturday - Feb. 25th - The next regular meeting of the Western North Carolina Society for Genealogical research will be held at 10 am in the Kaplan Auditorium of the Henderson County Public Library. The program will be on City Directories, where they can be found and their use in Genealogical Research. The program will be presented by Mr. Paul Rickert.
Saturday - Feb. 25th - Lost Playwrights of Western North Carolina will meet from 2 until 4 pm in the Kaplan Auditorium of the Henderson County Library. All persons interested in any aspect of theatre or writing are invited.
Wednesday, Feb. 29th - Grace Lutheran Church will have a five-week Wednesday evening Lenten supper and worship service for all members of the community. A soup and sandwich supper (free will offering) will be served from 4:45 til 5:30 pm followed by a worship service at 6 pm. The services will continue each Wednesday thru March 28th. Reservations for supper can be made by calling 828-693-4890 no later than the Monday before each Wednesday Lenten meal.
Sundays - Services each Sunday at the LightHouse International Ministries at 520 South Allen Road, Suite 7 at 10:30 am each Sunday....Wednesday services at 6:45pm. For more info call 828-674-2219.
