Shuler announced Tuesday he WILL release the phone number to call to participate

Western North Carolina Congressman Heath Shuler will be conducting a "teleconference" town hall meeting Thursday night on proposed health care reform at 7:10pm.  Such meetings have drawn angry crowds opposed to health care reform proposals being advanced in the nation's congress, and Shuler says he feels he can reach a larger number of people, and hear a broader range of opinions, by conducting his by telephone "conference call". 

His office says they are trying to avoid being inundated with calls from elsewhere in the nation, but anyone who wants to participate can by calling 1-877-269-7289...and then dial PIN NUMBER 15075, or you  can call Shuler's office in Washington or any of his district offices for the correct number.

WHKP plans to begin the broadcast LIVE at 7:05 Thursday night....with the "conference" starting at 7:10.  Shuler officials advised WHKP to call early since they are expecting a large number of calllers and access may be jammed.
