LOCAL FATZ CAFE OWNER RALPH McMURRAY LIKES NEW SMOKE FREE LAW

The new state law that will go into effect January 1st 2010 making North Carolina restaurants smoke free will be a good thing according to local Fatz Cafe owner Ralph McMurray.  He told WHKP News that the whole FATZ chain has been smoke free for about a year and a half in anticipation of the law going into effect, and also because of customer feedback.

McMurray said that after they went smoke free, the local FATZ gave their restaurant a deep cleaning to get rid of smoke build-up.  He said that even though they are smoke free, he does not want smokers to stop eating at FATZ.  He said there are areas outside for smokers to go if they need a cigerette during their meal.  He said that since they went smoke free the overwhelming majority of customers have been pleased.
