UNITED WAY AND WCCA CONDUCTING COUNTY ASSESSMENT The United Way of Henderson County is partnering with Western Carolina Community Action to conduct a county wide Human Needs Assessment according to Sandy McGlashen, United Way Director of Community Impact. She told WHKP News a Human Needs Assessment has not been done in Henderson County in ten years. McGlashen said that this survey is anonymous, and covers about 13 areas including hunger, housing, healthcare, mental health, financial needs, and transportation issues. She said that different county agencies will take this information, and measure what the overall basic needs are for Henderson County, and what things have changed since the last assessment ten years ago. Mcglashen said that people can take the survey online at www.liveunitedhc.org, or at www.wcca.org, or they can get a paper copy of the survey at Western Carolina Community Action, United Way, or any of the Public Library branches. She said that the goal is to have all of the surveys done by the end of January.
