with First Mondays Concert in Brevard

Brevard Music Center (BMC), in association with Brevard College in Brevard, is pleased to announce the return of its popular and FREE Community Concert Series (CCS) on Monday, October 2 at 12:30 PM at the Porter Center (Brevard College). The “First Mondays” chamber concert features violinist Simon Gollo and pianist Jihye Chang in an all-Brahms program including “Scherzo” from the F.A.E. Sonata, as well as Sonatas No. 2 and 3 for Violin and Piano. Brevard Music Center’s free series of Brevard-based CCS concerts continue through May 2018; the Music Center’s Hendersonville-based “Chamber Music Tuesdays” concerts, in association with the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra, resume in March, April, and May of 2018.

October’s local First Mondays Charity Partner is Muddy Sneakers.

“After a highly successful 2017 music festival, we are delighted to continue our tradition of offering free live music in the off-season to the communities and neighborhoods that support us throughout the summer,” said Brevard Music Center President & CEO Mark Weinstein. “I invite music-lovers of all ages and means to join us in welcoming two acclaimed classical musicians to Brevard for the launch of BMC’s 2017/2018 Community Concert Series!”
