Pardee Board Officially Approves Fletcher Joint Venture With Mission Hospitals

Pardee Hospital Board of Directors signed a letter of understanding with Mission Hospital moving the construction of the Mission Pardee Health Campus forward.

The health center is a joint collaboration of Mission Hospitals and Pardee Hospital and will be located on the Buncombe and Henderson county line.  In addition to the letter of understanding, both counties have approved the facility plans along with building permits.

“Pardee Hospital is proud to serve along side Mission to bring high quality, accessible and convenient health care services to Fletcher. The signing of this document today will allow Pardee and Mission to move forward with the Health campus project. We look forward to serving the folks in the northern end of the county.” said Jay Kirby, President and CEO of Pardee Hospital.

The letter of understanding details key points of medical services, land ownership, operations of the health campus, and management services. The project is currently planned as a two-level, approximately 80,000 square foot building. In addition to wellness and prevention programs, proposed services include imaging, urgent care, outpatient rehab, retail pharmacy, laboratory, conference and administrative space, and 20,000 square feet of physician office space.

Henderson County's Board of Commissioners were given details in the memorandum of understanding last week, and gave the Pardee board the go-ahead to move foward with the project.

The site, which straddles the Buncombe-Henderson County line in Fletcher has been cleared and appears ready for construction to begin.
