A DAY OF UTILITY OUTAGES
After an 8-hour period without Morris Broadband internet access on Tuesday, due to a fiber optic cable which had been cut by a construction crew n Howard Gap Road,
A widespread power outage affected well over 7000 Duke Energy customers in the Hendersonville area Tuesday afternoon. Traffic signal lights went out in the outage, which resulted in some traffic issues…and businesses and homes in the greater Hendersonville area, and just east and north of town, were affected. Duke Energy spokesman Pete Brooks told WHKP News power was not expected to be restored until after 4pm Tueday.
In outages like this, remember the traffic rules when signal lights are now working and yield the right of way. Again…full power in the 7000-plus outage was restored later Tuesday afternoon.
