The Hendersonville Police Department is requesting the public’s help in combating a growing issue of car break ins that have been on the rise with the warmer weather. Over the weekend of June 30th, the Hendersonville Police Department responded to seven (7) car break ins and the common denominator in these cases was that the cars were left unlocked.
Over the past month the Hendersonville Police Department has seen an increase of car break ins. We are asking the public to be more vigilant in securing their automobiles. In the majority of these cases the cars were left unlocked, making it easy for criminals looking for easy opportunities. The Police Department has made several arrests in many of these cases. We have found that the persons arrested target vehicles that are easily entered due to them being unlocked.
Again this is a friendly reminder from the Hendersonville Police Department to the public to secure their property from those who would take advantage of them.
