Dennis Wayne "Denny" Lee

Dennis Wayne "Denny" Lee, a resident of Hendersonville for 13 years died November 29th at Pardee Jemoria Hospital in Hendersonville at the age of 62.  He was a native of Albert Lea, KMn., born to Wayne A. Lee of KankatokKj. and the late Patgricia L. Lee, nee Cassel.  ;In addition to his kother, he is preceded n death by a brother, Paul B. Lee, nephew - Bruce Lee and nephew, Christopher Summerville.  Denny loved playng guitar for his family and friends and in the several bands he had been a part of.  He was a member of the Living Savior Lutheran Church in Asheville.  Survivors include his wife ofr 21 years, Susan "Sue" Jane Althoff of the home, sisters, Jan Sumerville of Hendersonville and Shawn Kurtzahn and husband Martin of Snoqualmie, Wa; a brother Marty Lee and his friend Marty  Holcombe of N.. Mankato, Mn; three nieces, tghree nephews and a great hiece.  'A memorial service is planned for 11 am January 6th at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 301 Overlook Road in Ashevlle, N. C. 28803.  Ashevlle mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Lyle D. Buchanan

Lyle O. Buchanan, age 97 of Hendersonville died Saturday November 25th.  He was the son of the late Walter O. and Edna I. Ketz Buchanan.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 74 years Helen, and a sister .Jean Buchanan-Palmateer.  He was a veteran of the U S Coast Guard.  Lyle was an active member of the Methodist Church and a Shriner.  He was the fire chief in Rochester, Mil. for 20 years and a firefighter for 40 plus years.  After retiring in 1982 he and his wife Helen moved to Hendersonville, N. C.  Survivors include his sons, James Buchanan and wife Eileen of Ut. and Richard Buchanan and wife Leslie of Ka; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchldren.  A memorial service to honor both Lyle and Helen will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church.  Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
