Art Cooley, President & General Manager of WHKP started his career in sales with WHKP in 1957 after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill and a stint in the US Army. Active in local civic activities during his 56 years with WHKP. Daughters Karen Marshall of Charlotte, NC and Kimberly Morin of Marietta, Georgia are now the majority stockholders of the station. Other than WHKP, Art's interests include playing with grandsons Brody and Eli along with granddaughters Lilian and Isabella, and enjoying his condominium just outside Hendersonville in Laurel Park that overlooks a 22 - mile vista high above the Hendersonville Country Club where he continues struggling to break 80.
