The City of Hendersonville is currently accepting applications for its new participatory budget program called Build Hendersonville.

Residents or business owners in Hendersonville can submit their ideas on how to spend $25,000 in improvements to the city. After the ideas are submitted they will be ranked, and the winning project or projects will be funded.

This is the first time residents have actually been able to propose a project idea, help develop it and see it funded through the budgeting process, according to a news release from the city.

Project ideas can range from infrastructure, enhancements to parks or updates to community spaces.

Applications are due by Dec. 19, 2025.

For more information and to submit a proposal, visit www.hvlnc.gov/BuildHendersonville.
