Rep. Chuck McGrady has announced that he will not seek re-election to the state House, instead turning his focus toward family and friends, and a list of to dos that includes some his favorite past times, like hiking, and camping.
"Serving in the N.C. House of Representatives has been one of the greatest and most exciting honors of my life; my gratitude to the people of our local area in Henderson County for providing me with that opportunity goes beyond measure", McGrady said in a statement.
The time has come for McGrady to focus on other aspects of his life, most especially to his wife Jean, who has made all the untold sacrifices over the years, so he could serve in the public sector.
Representative McGrady says he looks forward to supporting the next representative of House District 117, and will be happy to assist in any way possible.
