The Etowah Valley Smokehouse restaurant is making progress.They are hard at work remodeling and painting everything inside the restaurant.The new restaurant is owned by Etowah Valley Golf and Resort and will feature traditional eastern North Carolina bbq....they will also have a whole hog "pig pickin" on a regular basis and a buffet.
Opening day has yet to be set but it appears the last week in May is the target they are shooting for.
The restaurant in its hey day was the Etowah BBQ Shak...later knowns as Bad Wolf and Jbobs BBQ.
General manager for all of Etowah's properties Tim Rice commented "this will be one of the finest restaurants in all of Western North Carolina,and we will be able to handle groups of all sizes.
Its easy to find them there on Highway 64 West....or just roll down the window and follow the traditional wood smoke.
