Hendersonville is bursting with apple-inspired spirit this Apple Festival weekend as businesses throughout the community put their creativity on display for the annual Apple Festival Window Display Contest, a beloved tradition of the North Carolina Apple Festival.
From Downtown to locations across the city, storefronts were transformed into colorful and imaginative tributes to all things apple. This year’s theme, “80 Years Strong – A Sweet Tradition,” inspired businesses to celebrate Hendersonville’s rich apple-growing history while showcasing the creativity, pride and community spirit that make the festival such a special tradition.
After careful judging, the following winners were announced during the festival’s Opening Ceremony:
Retail Category
1st Place: American Refinery
2nd Place: The Emporium on Main
3rd Place: Razberry Threads
Bank Category
1st Place: First Citizens Bank – Four Seasons
2nd Place: Telco Community Credit Union
3rd Place: Park National Bank

Historical Display: Henderson County Heritage Museum
“The window displays are more than just decorations; they are a testament to the creativity, dedication, and community spirit of our downtown merchants,” said Terrye Jacobs, Downtown Coordinator. “We are grateful to every participating business for making downtown an even more welcoming and festive destination during the Apple Festival.”

The Friends of Downtown Hendersonville extend heartfelt thanks to all who participated and invite residents and visitors alike to stroll Main Street to view these festive windows, which will remain on display throughout the festival weekend.
