An application for rezoning a tract of land at the corner of Signal Hill Road and Linda Vista Drive, behind Home Depot, has been made to the City of Hendersonville by Michael Vann of Vann Investments, LLC. The applicant is requesting to rezone this property from PCD (Planned Commercial Development) to PCDCZD (Planned Commercial Development Conditional Zoning District) for the purpose of constructing mini warehouses.
The business would be known as Signal Hill Mini Storage.
A neighborhood compability hearing was held Wedndesday afternoon in the City Operations Building on Williams Street where one of the principals, Mike Vann, answered questions about the proposed new business. He said that, when completed, the business would contain some 600 storage units and would be well lighted, with 75% 'conditioned'. He estimated the total investment at around $1.5 million dollars.
There was no objections by those in attendance. The project now goes to the City Planning Board in September and on to the City Council in October. If approved, Michael Vann said construction would begin immediately.
