Henderson County Public Schools is beginning its "Meals on the Bus" summer food program, helping to ensure local children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months.
The program will run from Monday, June 1, to Wednesday, July 29, with no service on Friday, July 3, for observance of Independence Day.
Meals will be provided to children ages two through 18 at public locations across Henderson County with no registration required.
A new component to the 2026 program is that all meals will be offered to-go, allowing families added convenience and flexibility.
At pickup, children will need to state their name.
Meals will include lunch for that day and breakfast for the following morning.
