The Hendersonville Police Department and the Henderson County Sheriff's Office are teaming up for National Night out 2026, bringing the community together for a special theme: The Greatest Night Out! Join us on Tuesday, October 6, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm, in front of the Walmart Garden Center, located at 250 Highlands Square Dr, for an evening of fun for the entire family and an opportunity to connect with local law enforcement.

"National Night Out is special because it creates a unique opportunity for us to connect with our community outside of our everyday calls for service," said Police Chief Blair Myhand. "We are excited this year to partner with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office."

"National Night Out provides us with the perfect platform to strengthen relationships with the people we represent," said Sheriff Lowell Griffin. "Partnering with the Hendersonville Police Department also symbolizes the law enforcement partnerships that allows our agencies to be successful!"

Free Food and Fun for All Ages

Community members will see and interact with a variety of emergency equipment displays from the Hendersonville Police and Fire Departments, in combination with trucks from Hendersonville Public Works and Water & Sewer. Additional agencies serving Hendersonville and Henderson County will be offering kids the opportunity to engage public safety workers, their vehicles, and equipment.

Enjoy free food, a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, face painting, free raffle, games, prizes, and more! Don’t miss the chance to win prizes and be sure to visit the Ellaberry Farm Llamas, back by popular demand! Also stop by and visit local vendor booths and non-profits to learn more about local offerings to the community.

Strengthen Police-Community Partnerships

National Night Out is a national initiative that fosters and strengthens police-community partnerships. It encourages open dialogue, trust, and a sense of unity among residents and the officers that serve them.

A special thank you to Walmart for providing the event space, Parks Ford for providing the food, and all the participants and donors who helped make this event possible.
