There are overnight full closures on I-26 in both directions this week, according to a Henderson County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
All closures are scheduled nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Exists 40 through 44 will be completely closed eastbound on I-26 for this evening and Tuesday, May 20.
You can take a detour through Airport Road onto NC 280 East into US 25 South. That will make you rejoin I-26 at exit 44.
Exists 44 through 53 on eastbound I-26 will be closed on Wednesday, May 21.
The detour for Wednesday's closure is to take Exit 44 to U.S. 25 South (Asheville Hwy) to U.S. 176 to Upward Road to rejoin I-26 at Exit 53.
Westbound on I-26 will have closures for exits 49 to 44 on Thursday, May 22.
The detour for Thursday's closure is to take Exit 49B to U.S. 64 West to U.S. 25 North (Asheville Hwy) to rejoin I-26 at Exit 44.
Start times for these closures may vary depending on the traffic.
