NEW MILLS RIVER URGENT CARE IN INGLES MILLS RIVER PLAZA

 Pardee UNC Health Care opened its newest Urgent Care location at 3334 Boylston Highway, Suite 10 in Ingle'd Plaza, in Mills River on Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m.

There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility. Pardee Chief Executive Officer James M. Kirby II, Pardee Chief Administrative Officer Johnna Reed and Camp Highlander owner Karl Alexander all attended.

Following the ceremony, attendees had an opportunity to tour the new facility. Pardee Urgent Care Mills River opened its doors for business at noon following the grand opening.

PARDEE PLANS TO ADD A C-SECTION OPERATING ROOM ON ITS MAIN CAMPUS   

Pardee Hospital UNC Health Care is seeking state approval to add a new dedicated C-section operating room.

The Henderson County Hospital Corp. has filed a Certificate of Need application with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, seeking approval toadd the facility at the hospital.

The proposed project is expected to cost $5.9 million,  and if approved by the state,  be complete in April 2021.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Ellis says there been a substantial growth in the need fir a C-section operating room at Pardee during his 30 years at the hospital.

Pardee currently has 10 operating rooms. The last addition came in 2005, when the capacity increased from six. The new addition will likely be built in existing space in the operating room area of the hospital.
