Vice President Mike Pence swung through South Carolina on Saturday to help kickstart Senator Lindsey Graham's 2020 re-election campaign.

Prior to the Vice President speaking in front of a packed house at the Greenville Marriott, multiple South Carolina elected officials spoke on Lindsey Graham's conservative record and the benefits he brings to the nation and to South Carolina.

Mark Hammond, South Carolina Secretary of State, discussed Graham's conservative business record, including his crucial support for President Trump's tax cuts.  State Attorney General Alan Wilson touted Graham's military service, and his strong efforts as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman to put conservative justices on the bench.  Lt. Governor Pamela Everett praised Graham for his strong Christian and pro-life beliefts, and Governor Henry McMaster said that Graham's performance during the Kavanaugh hearings demonstrated his toughness.

Graham's speech was peppered with jokes, including one where he poked fun of President Trump. After commenting on the rocky start to their relationship, Graham stated, "I've come to find common ground. I like him and he likes me and that seems to be working for both of us." Graham then continued to praise President Trump and his administration, and also referenced the Kavanaugh hearings, asking if he spoke for the crowd, which responded with a resounding yes.

Senator Graham then introduced Vice President Pence and his wife, Karen, and the two received the loudest roar of the afternoon. Pence touched on many diffferent Trump adminstration accomplishments, and attacked Democrats for the green new deal, and their support of abortion.

Pence also set the tone for President Trump's reelection, deriding the Democrat's "socialist" agenda saying, "I think that the moment America becomes a socialist country is the moment that America ceases to become Americxa."

The Vice President closed his remarks by asking the crowd to reelect Senator Graham, and Donald Trump. Earlier in the day, the Vice President and Senator Graham attended a brunch in Myrtle Beach for Senator Graham's reelection campaign, and attended a faith leader "briefing" at the Brush Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, SC.
